All the Rage
What shows do you listen to? Is it the same ones everyday? Although this was true for me up to last week I have started opening my horizons and trying new content. The usual suspects where Dawn and Drew, Daily Source Code and maybe try others from time to time. But since Monday I have tuned into (subscribed to some) many different podcasts such as The Sports Pod, Coverville, Beercasting and Reel Reviews.
Podcasts are here, but are you listening? Podcasting Technology is growing every day, but if no one is listening, does it even matter?
Some are of excellent quality and could be considered radio standard but podcasting for me is about people sitting around and just chatting as seen with my show, Beercasting (set in a pub) and also the sports pod which can go on for over an hour.
Glad to hear you tried out Reel Reviews. Hopefully you enjoyed it. With an Irish last name like mine I’m glad to hear I have picked up some listeners on the Emerald Isle.

That’s cool to know you liked our show. I definitely agree with you that it’s not just about making radio.. in fact sometimes I wonder if that’s not just gonna scare most people away from trying it out.
I know when I heard Adam’s show the first time I was like whoa, I can’t do that. Of course, I also said screw it and I’m just gonna drink and rattle on for a while. I’m hoping to get more converts so we can build this thing out more.
I especially like your Starter Kit. We need a lot more stuff like that and we need to get some artists and illustrators involved to make some super simple but cool looking pinup posters.

Michael: - By heck I enjoyed it, absolutely fantastic to say the least, I’m sure as podcasting spreads in Ireland you will be recieiving more listens by the day.
Greg: - Your show rocks…. It’s what podcasting is all about. In your case adding beer to the equation… nothing better than good old banter (chat) in the pub with your friends.
The whole idea is a classic, you have done to pub-chat on beercasting like what sex is to radiowhore.com. You’ll always be the first to say “I started this”, “If you use this idea you owe use a pint” lol etc..
The start up kit came to me late Wednesday night, I got this idea into my head that people are drawn to zip files, the whole idea of clicking, unzipping and placing on your computer is cool, like a reward. Well that’s what I think anyway… hope to get it finished and polished (respectable looking display) by the weekend.
Keep up the fantastic work - loved episode two where ye chatted about the difference between your blog and a phlog site (photo blog) and also the discussion about Women open your eyes! I want to date you!
Well done again on your show, hopefully more Irish people will tune in soon.
Curtis: - It’s great to listen to and really enjoyable even though most sports are inaccessible on our T.V’s, but it’s nice to know what’s going on sports wise there.
The Hurling and Gaelic football season ended about two months ago. But will be restarting in February so it would be cool to keep your Irish American listeners up to date with the latest results and goings on as I know a good percentage tune it to watch some games in the Irish pubs.
